Two Men Charged for Jail Killing of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
